To your specific questions:
What location type should I use for each of the OhioLINK and OPAL ebook locations? Or do I leave those blank?
Every location needs to be mapped to one of your defined location groups (from the Fulfillment tab). In theory, what you map these items to won’t matter all that much, since the P2E conversion process should convert most (if not all) of these to electronic inventory. These locations were set to be suppressed from discovery anyway, so you could either map them to a non-circulating group … or to your primary group. But eventually, we will need to identify any of the records remaining after the P2E conversion and resolve those (i.e., delete them and configure them as electronic inventory).
Do I need to choose a location type for the functional locations which moved from Sierra to the form, such as “Work Room” and “Circulation?” I understand these are not Alma locations.
Yes, you need to choose a location type for every location listed on the Locations tab. Those records will indeed be migrated into Alma with those locations and the locations need to be grouped somehow.
What location type should I use for our local ebook location?
I’d suggest using the same one as you do for all the other locations for electronic resources (the OPAL and OhioLINK ones).
If Circulatable = N, do I need to fill in the rest of the fields to preclude the form from using the default data? If so, what sort of responses should I give?
That top row (row 7) is not a default circulation policy, as in that if nothing else applies, the top row will be used. Instead, those values are only used to set the default values for the lower part of the form.
So what you should do is to fill the top row with your most common settings and in the lower table (starting in row 12) only specify things that differ from the values in row 7. Doing it that way will save you a significant amount of time in filling out the lower half.
Hope that helps!
Matt

Subject: [opal_migration_leads] Configuration form questions
Hi gang,
I have the following questions regarding the configuration form, which I’m posting here as well as to Basecamp, because I seem to have trouble getting a response to questions in the latter.
On the Locations tab:
1. What location type should I use for each of the OhioLINK and OPAL ebook locations? Or do I leave those blank?
2. Do I need to choose a location type for the functional locations which moved from Sierra to the form, such as “Work Room” and “Circulation?” I understand these are not Alma locations.
3. What location type should I use for our local ebook location?
On the Policies, TOU, and Rules tab:
1. If Circulatable = N, do I need to fill in the rest of the fields to preclude the form from using the default data? If so, what sort of responses should I give?
For the configuration form and additional configurations form, where do I upload them?
Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
Dave
