Hello,

Re: * OPAL Migration Project Leads: Friday, June 14 from 10 - 11 am (will be recorded).

Is the recording up yet? Or am I not looking in the right place?

Thanks,

Circulation Policy Overview Request
Clarification regarding this request - while we need an overview of your circulation policies (for your locations by patron type and any general exceptions) we are not translating them into the Alma fulfillment framework yet, so there's no need to worry about those details. I initially provided a spreadsheet template with column headers that reflect some of the default "location types" you will see in the Ex Libris-configuration form thinking it might help you review your collections with the migration in mind, but if it's confusing, please don't feel you have to use it. You can just as easily list out the information as indicated in the sample text of the original request. Or, if the borrowing policy on your website is mostly accurate, send the link and note anything that is incorrect or that you are thinking of circulating differently going forward

Timeline Overview Shared on the 6/5 Project Call with Migration Leads:

  * Currently in main migration phase until June 2025 which is when we are scheduled to go live.
  * Ex Libris will provide 2 years of post-migration support to make sure everything is working, and integrations are set up.
  * Mid to Late September 2024 we will receive access to our test instances and will start to set up integrations.
     * The first two integrations to be configured will be patron loads and authentication (including APIs). For privacy and security Ex Libris handles these integrations through support tickets that will be coordinated with Project Leads. Questions should be submitted through Project Leads.
     * Libraries can start to create sample files for testing anytime and those will be loaded in October.
     * Once these integrations are done libraries can choose to set up additional integrations (October - March) or they can hold off until the system is up and running and add them post-migration.
  * Early October 2024 we will receive our Primo or patron-facing environment (catalog/discovery) and be able to test integrations.
  * There will be a single final data load from Sierra into Alma before the go live date in June 2025.
  * Library Mobile App will be configured right after the go live date.

Don't forget to send us a copy of the OhioLINK Primo VE Implementation and Rapido forms after submitting them. We should be able to see the authentication forms in Basecamp once those are uploaded.

Thanks!

Best,
Heidi
