[opal_migration_leads] Readiness checklist

To ensure that you’re seeing Rapido offers, you need to search within the Beyond My Library search slot in Primo.

As Ex Libris explains it, migrated data isn’t fully indexed and thus the offers are only guaranteed to show up in that specific slot. After go-live, additional indexing processes will be running and will produce offers in other Primo search slots.

And if you look at this title in the Beyond My Library slot, you’ll see the offer details:

Hope that helps!!

Matt

Also, I just did a browse search by title on “baseball,” and only one record displayed for Baseball : A History of America’s Game, although there are multiple copies and editions just in OPAL. So is “browse search configured correctly?”

I’ll stop now, and thank you!!

Just quickly, the fact that the OPAL EBSCO ebook titles don’t show up is to be expected. That’s because we did not activate them for every institution for the test load (in fact, we only activated them for a few OPAL institutions).

I’ll have to look into the specifics of the Hiram item and get back to you.

Thanks!!

Matt

Hi gang,

I’m not sure how to answer “Is Primo VE displaying search results as expected?” The answer is no, if I’m “expecting” things to look like they would if we were live. But, for example, I have a title (Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture, 2009-2010<https://ohiolink-mtso.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/fulldisplay?docid=alma991002793669708542&context=L&vid=01OHIOLINK_MTSO:MTSO&lang=en&search_scope=MyInst_and_CI&adaptor=Local%20Search%20Engine&tab=Everything&query=any%2Ccontains%2Cbaseball&offset=0>), which is showing a print copy at Hiram with no terms of use available for their physical copy and is not showing the OPAL EBSCO ebook that appears in the current OPAL catalog.

Should I say yes or no or something else?

Thanks for any wisdom,

Dave
