Hello everyone,
Here's this week's digest summarizing focus areas for the Alma migration -
Upcoming Meetings
* 3rd Party Integration spreadsheet was due October 11. Please upload yours to your Institution folder > OhioLINK 3rd Party Integration.
* OhioLINK/Ex Libris Project Leads Meetings: Analytics - Thursday, October 17 at 1 pm.
* OPAL Biweekly Migration Project Lead Meeting - Friday, October 18 at 10 am<https://info.opal-libraries.org/calendar>.
* OPAL ILS Migration Conversation - Tuesday, October 22, at 1 pm<https://ohionet-org.zoom.us/j/81951779928?pwd=puSzycKDrEgLEGZhaUBhPIiL2iHAnN.1> (working around Circ COI and other meetings that week).
Data Review
Although Data review officially ended October 10 for ExLibris, please continue to explore your test environment as you are able and report any issues.
Primo VE
Project Leads (and additional users as requested) have been given user roles for Primo which is the catalog and discovery interface for Alma. If you missed the Primo URL for your institution you can find it here<https://3.basecamp.com/3765443/buckets/36778639/uploads/7909294424> in Basecamp along with documentation and additional details<https://3.basecamp.com/3765443/buckets/36778639/messages/7909311132>.
Authentication
ExLibris is working through the authentication related cases, and you may receive a message or be copied on a request from their team regarding next steps. If you or your IT team have any questions, please get in touch with us. We can assist with configuring and sending the Alma and Primo metadata files needed to finalize authentication.
Training
Suggested Training(s) for anyone needing to run reports and pull statistics:
* Introduction to Analytics<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Training/Analytics/01_Introduction_to_Analytics>
* Reports and Dashboards<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Training/Analytics/02_Reports_and_Dashboards>
* Customize Default Reports<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Training/Analytics/Customize_Default_Reports>
Optional Training:
* Providing Reports to Other Users<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Training/Analytics/03_Providing_Reports_to_Other_Users>
General
OhioLINK has posted a spreadsheet<https://3.basecamp.com/5780697/buckets/37111192/uploads/7893341451> in the Files area of their Basecamp project that lists:
* The MARC organizational code listed by each IZ in their migration form, and
* The Ex Libris code assigned to each IZ.
This spreadsheet can be used to help identify which records were used as master records in the NZ for the test load. Please note that not all institutions listed a MARC organizational code in their migration form. When this is the case, Barbara has described an alternate way<https://3.basecamp.com/3765443/buckets/36778639/messages/7882776523> to identify where the master NZ record came from.
Have a good week!
Best,
Heidi
