Hello everyone,

Here's this week's digest related to the Alma migration -

Upcoming Meetings

  *   OhioLINK/Ex Libris Project Leads Meetings - we will focus on receiving our Alma environments and using Alma for data review. Because of the detail needed for this presentation, OhioLINK is splitting the topic into two calls (which will be recorded):
     *   Part 1: Using Alma for Data Review on Thursday, September 19 at 1 pm.
     *   Part 2: OhioLINK Acquisitions and Courses Data Review on Friday, September 20 at 11 am.
  *   OPAL Biweekly Migration Project Lead Meeting on Friday, September 20 at 10 am.

Ashley and Theda mentioned that Ex Libris functional calls will continue beyond the end of October. They are working out the schedule and will post to Basecamp.

Alma Login Credentials:
Ex Libris starts delivering test environments on a rolling basis today and that process is expected to continue into next week. OhioNet will receive the credentials for OPAL and configure and distribute user roles to Project Leads starting on Friday, September 20 as they become available. This will help streamline the process since the role assignments in Alma are more complex than in Sierra. You will then have some time to familiarize yourselves with the Alma environment and determine which additional users and roles you would like to set up for data review.

Initially, everyone will spend a few weeks reviewing data before any adjustments are made. To reiterate Ex Libris and OhioLINK instructions - once you receive access to your environment, please do not make any changes to data or configurations until you are given the go ahead!

Training:
There are no new training assignments. The new Ex Libris Software Academy<https://librarysoftware.clarivate.com/learn> platform is available for Alma and Primo certification.

Authentication Cases
If you see messages in your ProQuest Support Cases for Alma authentication that mention "Full Authentication is required by October 16, 2024" or that "the case will be closed in 45 days if you do not add any comments" this is an auto response generated when Ex Libris staff make comments or take action on tickets. The October date is an internal note and not anything to be concerned about. Tickets should not be closed until the institution is fully authenticated. If it does occur by accident, let them know in Basecamp and they will take care of reopening.
