Hi all,
I'm going to be doing a training session for some of our JCU technical
services people on Wednesday morning (March 12) at 9:30am, which will be
online. If anyone wants to join, you are welcome to do so. Please extend
this invitation to others who may be interested. I can record this as well.
This is my first "trainer attempting to train others" session at our
institution, so hopefully it will go OK!

What I am covering:

   - Briefly, OCLC configuration for export - though expected to be already
   configured for the training (See:
   https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aYOecnCMnH2ycjMlCGjHFipEBvrUBqc4itQkThQ1mYY/edit?usp=sharing
   )
   - Print monographs cataloging with no order/acq. processes - including:
      - add single item to bib record already in IZ (e.g. new volume of a
      set)
      - Change call number and location for an item moved from one
permanent location to another permanent location
      - add item to bib already in IZ if it's in a new permanent location
      - link to bib in NZ and create inventory
      - Export record from OCLC, find in IZ, attach inventory and link to
      NZ if desired

What I will not be covering at this time:

   - Serials checkins, prediction patterns, etc.
   - Electronic resources
   - Creating bib records in Alma
   - Temporary locations
   - Cataloging as part of an ordering process

Let me (Lauren Marshall) know if you have questions about this!
Lauren
