Good morning,
If managing the upcoming link resolver updates for Alma go live feels a bit like Link Resolver Roulette, here are a few tips to help you prepare:
What is this all about?
For background information OhioLINK posted a Link Resolver Information for Go Live<https://www.ohiolink.edu/content/link_resolver_information_go_live#platforms> page on Ostaff.
Which vendors should you contact?
In most cases you will have configured the link resolver integration with the vendor (PubMed, Google Scholar, Ovid, JSTOR, LibKey OCLC, etc.). However, there may be some old Olinks and OhioLINK configured links lurking out there. You can double check by downloading reports that show the in-bound links to FTF in EBSCOadmin (Reports & Statistics > Full Text Finder Reports > switch to the Full Text Finder Reports tab > choose Link In by Source Report). The downloaded spreadsheet will show all the sources that have passed links to FTF during the report period. The report uses codes to indicate the source rather than the full name of the database, but usually you can figure out who it is.
If you have Admin access for vendors, linking details can usually be found under headings like "Link Resolvers" or "Custom Resource Linking". You may be able to edit the linking configuration there or submit a support ticket to request the update.
How Do I Configure the Primo Link Resolver Change in EBSCO?
EBSCO has provided step-by-step instructions for the switch from EBSCO FTF to Primo in EBSCOadmin (see attached guide) at cutover in June. If you have questions or would like assistance with this step, just let us know.
Have a good weekend!
Best,
Heidi
