[opal_migration_leads] labels for resource sharing?

In doing some testing, we were able to do so.

Specifically, I placed a request from an Antioch College user for a Heidelberg item (or at least one that showed as being available in Primo).

Antioch College has a mediation rule that says to mediate requests if the patron includes a note, unless it has the “NOTE_REVIEWED” label.

After placing the request, it showed up with the “PATRON_NOTE” label specified in the mediation rule:

When I remove the “PATRON_NOTE” label and change it to the “NOTE_REVIEWED” label, it updated the request and sent it to Heidelberg.  On Antioch’s end, it shows as “Request sent to partner” now.  And on Heidelberg’s end, it shows under the lending requests (although it shows as “Locate failed,” which is a different problem).

The problem with your rule is that you have no way for the rule to be bypassed, i.e., if it has a label that says “NOTE_REVIEWED.”

Also, I’m pretty sure you don’t need the “Fill locally” in the action setting, since you might receive requests with a note for materials you don’t own.

Give those changes a try and let us know if you still have problems getting those rules to work.

Hi all -
Has anyone had any luck creating mediation rules to automatically apply labels under certain circumstances (like a patron note is present, e.g.)? We feel like we're doing exactly what was described, but it is not working. Is this the correct set up???
